We met on Bumble. Anna paused when she saw the name Abdoulaye. After spending time in Dakar, she had a feeling he might be Senegalese and was instantly intrigued. It also didn’t hurt that he was very cute and charming in his taekwon do photos, so she swiped right, curious if there might be something there. A little chatting later, we decided on bowling for our first date, and it became competitive almost immediately. By the third date, we were already introducing each other to friends and quietly realizing this might actually be something real. The day Anna met Abdoulaye’s family, his dad, Moussa, started calling her his fiancée, which was definitely bold but also incredibly sweet. Since then, we’ve built a life full of laughter, joyful chaos, deep love, and adventures.
