Our Wedding

We met on Bumble. Anna paused when she saw the name Abdoulaye. After spending time in Dakar, she had a feeling he might be Senegalese and was instantly intrigued. It also didn’t hurt that he was very cute and charming in his taekwon do photos, so she swiped right, curious if there might be something there. A little chatting later, we decided on bowling for our first date, and it became competitive almost immediately. After getting a strike, Anna flipped him off mid-game, which honestly tells you everything you need to know about our dynamic. At the end of the night, Abdoulaye went in for a kiss and completely missed her mouth. Anna thought it was unbelievably endearing. By the third date, we were already introducing each other to friends and quietly realizing this might actually be something real. The day Anna met Abdoulaye’s family, his dad, Moussa, started calling her his fiancée, which was definitely bold but also incredibly sweet. Since then, we’ve built a life full of laughter, joyful chaos, deep love, and adventures. We feel incredibly lucky for the love we found in each other and for the family and friends who have supported us from the very beginning. We can’t wait to celebrate with you. ♡

We are so excited to celebrate with you in Philadelphia! We have reserved a room block at The Notary Hotel, a beautiful historic hotel in the heart of Center City. We have a limited number of rooms available on Friday, October 15 in addition to our Saturday, October 16 room block, so we encourage guests to book early if they would like to stay with the group for the full weekend festivities. Please note that the room block will remain open until September 24, 2027, or until rooms sell out. Room block guests will also receive two complimentary tickets to the Museum of the American Revolution during their stay, along with additional hotel amenities. Please note that valet parking at the hotel is expensive ($77/night), so we strongly recommend using SpotHero to reserve parking nearby in advance. There are often more affordable garages within a short walk of the hotel. We can’t wait to spend the weekend celebrating with everyone!

Philly is unpretentious and gritty but has taste. We love this city so much, and we’re so excited to share a few of our favorite places with you. Special shoutout to our South Philly spots!

Bok is a former high school turned creative hub with local shops, artists, and small businesses. Head to the rooftop for dinner at Irwin's and drinks at Bok Bar. Bok is especially meaningful to us since it’s where we got engaged!

Best cheesesteak in the city! If you need inspiration, Abdoulaye orders cooper sharp with onions.
